I'm Cory, an engineer with a passion for design, music, and photography.

My name is Cory Dobson, and I'm a Senior Computer Science major at West Virginia University. West Virginia has always been home to me, and coming from humble beginnings in the Mountain State has given me a drive to be great. As an engineer and designer, I've worked with some incredible teams. From developing with a start-up in New York City, to rebranding a political campaign, my experiences have been diverse and full of remarkable people. In June of 2014, I'll be joining the team at VSCO as a software engineer.

What I like to do.

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle." - Steve Jobs

Steve inspired me with this quote a long time ago, however the mindset of being truly satisfied with great work still lives with me today. I love what I do, and I'm learning to become a better engineer everyday. Here are a few formal concepts that I've attached myself too.

To put it simply, I like to solve problems. Programming helps me accomplish that.

Data Management

I have experience with Oracle 11, & Amazon Web Services. Data is everywhere, and those tools help me manage it.

Graphics & Branding

I love the impact that a great branding resonates to users.
